Essential skills include the ability to communicate a vision, achieve buy-in, and execute plans effectively. The role demands a visible, results-oriented leader with a collaborative management style, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of managing both direct and indirect reporting relationships. Experience in population health, leading in a matrix environment, and a background in hospital or ambulatory operations, as well as a managed care or health plan experience, are highly valued.
