The CFAO will be responsible for advising on and directly managing all financial functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, and investment monitoring. This role also involves providing operational leadership in areas such as internal controls, administrative procedures, IT infrastructure, and people systems. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the President & CEO, ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Candidates for the CFAO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management, with a CPA and/or MBA being a plus. A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior financial role, particularly in a complex organization with multiple revenue streams or as an auditor of nonprofits, is required. The role demands strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage finance, HR, and IT functions. The CFAO will be expected to have a deep understanding of nonprofit organizations and a proven track record of ethical business conduct, integrity, and strategic, results-oriented decision-making.
