The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Information Security Program, developing and maintaining the network design and topology, and implementing security best practices to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the college's IT governance model, end-user information security training programs, distance learning, and instructional technology initiatives. The CIO will also be tasked with developing and maintaining the Technology Master Plan, providing leadership for enterprise resource planning, and serving as a resource for faculty members on best practices for technology integration. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in higher education IT services, with a Master's degree preferred, and hold certifications in Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco, and Ethical Hacker. Supervisory experience is required, along with good organizational and time management skills. The role demands a strong working knowledge of technology operations, including network technologies, virtual server management, disaster recovery, data security and privacy, and strategic technology planning. The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client base and exhibit integrity and professionalism is essential. Proficiency in Spanish or French is preferred. The CIO will also be responsible for physical tasks, including some lifting, bending, and reaching, and must be able to pack, lift, carry, and transport equipment and materials as needed.
