The CFO will work closely with the District Superintendent and the School Board to provide strategic vision and ensure the District's financial management program complies with all relevant laws and principles. This includes overseeing all financial activities, from budgeting and forecasting to grants management and risk control. The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing best practices, managing banking relationships, and maintaining the District's assets. Additionally, the CFO will have a key role in program direction, staff supervision, and operations oversight, including building and nutrition services. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must have a Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, and a CSBO endorsement is required. A CPA is preferred. The role demands 8-12 years' of experience in financial forecasting, fund accounting, and managing multi-department teams. Essential qualifications include a proven track record in education finance, strategic oversight, and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively. The CFO will also be involved in collective bargaining with multiple union agents, so experience in this area is vital.
