The CFO will be the principal fiscal and administrative officer, responsible for developing and implementing financial and operational strategies that align with the organization's mission. This includes oversight of financial management, accounting, billing/registration, risk management, asset management, and information technology. The successful candidate will direct the financial affairs, provide management with financial analyses, and ensure the integrity of fiscal records. The CFO will also lead and manage the accounting, finance, investment, and IT functions, and be involved in all aspects of financial planning, including the development and oversight of the annual operating budget. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' management experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required, and an active CPA license or Master's degree is a must. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in senior financial management, particularly within a complex nonprofit environment with diverse funding sources. Strong leadership capabilities, expertise in business process development, and advanced proficiency in financial software systems are essential. Experience in real estate development and construction accounting, as well as proficiency with tax credit and grant reporting, is highly beneficial. The CFO should be a strategic thinker with operational expertise, and be adept at problem-solving and ensuring compliance with all financial and legal requirements.
