The successful candidate will be a strategic, relationship-oriented legal executive with a strong background in healthcare regulatory matters. This leadership role involves overseeing legal services for the organization and its affiliates, serving as the principal legal advisor on a range of issues including major contracts, transactions, and regulatory compliance. The Deputy General Counsel will also be responsible for managing a team of legal professionals, supervising litigation, and aligning legal services with the company's strategic plan. The ideal candidate should be a proven leader with at least 10 years' of experience in a similar role, possess a J.D. from an accredited law school, and be a member of the State Bar of South Carolina or eligible for admission. Candidates for the Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel position at the company should have a strong legal background, particularly in the areas of M&A activity, physician employment, and alignment models, as well as a deep understanding of healthcare regulatory matters such as HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback statutes.
