This role is pivotal in the global energy revolution, as the successful candidate will be responsible for offering legal advice across all facets of green hydrogen project development, construction, and financing. Key responsibilities include structuring and negotiating hydrogen offtake agreements, as well as MOUs, joint development agreements, and joint venture agreements. The Senior Counsel will also be instrumental in providing legal guidance on federal and state policy and regulatory matters, participating in the negotiation and implementation of federal awards, and managing outside counsel. The ideal candidate will have a commercial mindset, a passion for driving decarbonization, and a strong alignment with the company's values of safety, highest standards, and collaboration. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position should have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, with 5-8 years of experience in project development, construction, and finance, particularly in the energy, power, or hydrogen sectors. Experience in M&A and joint venture transactions is a plus. The role requires the ability to manage complex transactions independently and a willingness to partner with commercial counterparts.
