This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standard of ethical practices, strong financial controls, and the accuracy of all SEC filings related to income tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for tax strategy and planning, compliance with tax laws and regulations, and will lead a team of tax professionals in a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include risk management, financial reporting, providing tax advice on business transactions, and managing tax audits and disputes. The VP of Tax will also be involved in budgeting and forecasting and will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate tax reporting and disclosures. Candidates for the Vice President of Tax position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a preference for a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A minimum of 15 years of corporate tax experience, including 5 years of federal tax and 15 years of international tax experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical tax technical areas such as tax accounting, US international, foreign, transfer pricing, and subchapter C. Experience in a matrixed corporate environment, solid judgment, and a collaborative leadership style are essential. The role demands the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to a non-tax audience and proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems.
