The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing direction for an inaugural internal medicine residency program and will be a key clinical leader and strategist within the organization. Responsibilities include ensuring the department functions within an integrated system of care, improving performance, enhancing quality outcomes, and leading the growth of clinical programs. The role also involves a genuine effort to mentor and support a broad group of physician leaders, as the health system transitions to a teaching hospital. We are looking for a strategic and progressive master clinician and educator who will focus on ushering the department into a value-based system, integrating the faculty, and aligning community physicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on growing the department's clinical services and establishing the foundation for an internal medicine residency program. The Chair of Medicine will play a principal role in the growth of clinical programs, the elevation of performance and quality measures, and the integration and alignment of the department both internally and externally. The new Chair will inherit a Department of Medicine with a robust array of clinical services and quality outcomes, well positioned for additional growth, and will be a key support to the CMO and other clinical leaders in achieving strategic initiatives.
