The COO will work closely with the CEO to translate strategic goals into operational excellence, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in driving the day-to-day operations, ensuring that they align with the organization's mission and values. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, with a Master's degree being advantageous, and at least 15 years' related experience, including 5 years in an executive leadership role, preferably within a non-profit organization. Key responsibilities for the COO include overseeing the operations team, aligning operational objectives with the strategic vision, analyzing performance metrics, and managing operational risks. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record in developing and implementing operational strategies that drive efficiency and productivity. The COO will be expected to have a deep understanding of the EHS industry, including risk management and compliance, and experience with accredited certification programs is preferred. The role requires a leader who can manage complex operational functions, ensure financial stability, and lead innovation and change initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver with excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on personal effectiveness and decision-making.
