Head of Wholesale Business Unit About the Company Top property & casualty alliance of independent insurance agencies IndustryInsurance TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Wholesale Business Unit to lead the development and execution of the division's strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a wholesale operation from the ground up, with a focus on multi-million production scale. This executive will be tasked with creating and implementing business processes that are scalable, leveraging technology to connect to the distribution network. A key aspect of the role is to design and lead the team in a way that aligns with the organization's growth objectives, and to ensure that the division operates without the need for a third-party wholesaler. Applicants for the Head of Wholesale Business Unit position at the company should be seasoned professionals with a minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in the property and casualty industry. The role requires a self-starter with a proven track record in building wholesale business processes, implementing best practices, and designing processes for scalability. The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience in the MGA, wholesale, specialty, and surplus lines space, and a strong network of relationships with E&S and specialty carriers, fronting companies, and reinsurers. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an E&S license being preferred. The Head of Wholesale Business Unit will also be expected to have a background in underwriting program business and/or product management and development, and to be adept at negotiating complex agreements and managing executive-level relationships.
