The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in the E&S Brokerage Shared and Layered marketplace. This role is pivotal in creating and managing a strategy that aligns with customer and business goals, driving top financial performance, and leading a team to execute the business plan. The VP will be responsible for the growth and development of the E&S Specialty Brokerage Property strategy, ensuring the portfolio's integrity and effectiveness, and identifying new opportunities for product innovation. A deep knowledge of the shared and layered line of business, advanced communication, and team-building skills are essential. Key responsibilities for the VP include developing and executing underwriting guidelines, maintaining profitability, and leading a team with a focus on talent development and succession planning. The role demands a leader who can foresee industry changes and adjust strategies accordingly, as well as collaborate with key business partners to address governance and compliance issues. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in business administration or a related field, with a master's degree preferred, and completion of general insurance courses such as CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, or ASLI. The VP will also be responsible for setting underwriting authority and ensuring compliance, and must be adept at financial analysis and risk assessment.
