The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and executing high-level IP strategies, conducting non-infringement and invalidity analyses, and leading IP due diligence and licensing negotiations. This senior leader will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth and innovation goals, providing strategic guidance on the global IP landscape, and ensuring that the IP function is aligned with corporate objectives. The role is highly visible and influential in a company where innovation is foundational. Candidates for the Head of Intellectual Property position at the company should have a proven track record in senior IP leadership, with at least 15 years' experience, including several years in a similar role within a large corporation, preferably in the medical or technology-focused industry. A JD or LLM from a top-tier law school, along with admission to practice law, is required. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to apply legal knowledge to complex business and technical issues. Experience in managing large-scale IP portfolios, complex IP litigation, and a solid understanding of relevant technologies are essential. The role demands excellent negotiation, persuasion, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a global environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
