Vice President of Sales About the Company Progressive & innovative biotech organization IndustryBiotechnology TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the establishment of its first sales team, including regional and district sales managers, and sales representatives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the initial product launch and will be an active member of the commercial management team, contributing to the formulation of strategies and programs. Responsibilities for this role include partnering with commercial analytics and operations and HR to design an incentive plan, as well as planning and executing sales training, meetings, and POAs. The Vice President of Sales will be a key player in the company's growth, with a focus on driving sales and market expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader to make a substantial impact and be at the forefront of the organization's commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree, with a preference for a Master's or MBA, and at least 8-10 years' of experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, particularly in the rare disease or orphan drug arenas. Experience in building a sales force from the ground up and a strong history of success and promotions are essential.The role demands a candidate with an empowered and entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record in developing and launching strategies for significant biotech or pharmaceutical products in the U.S. marketplace.
