The successful candidate will be a seasoned litigator with a strong background in managing a diverse range of domestic and international disputes and regulatory engagements. Key responsibilities for this role include direct interaction with government officials, directing overall case and matter strategy, assessing risk, and coordinating with senior leadership on risk management. The position demands a hands-on approach to complex business litigation, including trial experience, and the ability to counsel parties and witnesses in various legal contexts. The Corporate Counsel will also be involved in managing responses to discovery requests and will primarily focus on disputes related to the company's global logistics and transportation business. Applicants must have a J.D. degree, be a member in good standing of at least one state bar, and have a minimum of 5 years' litigation and regulatory experience. The role requires the ability to manage a large number of mission-critical projects, work independently, and have a strong background in crisis management and response. While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include a federal judicial clerkship, government service, and experience in the Internet, software, or media industries. The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team, including senior executives.
