The CFO will be responsible for leading financial planning and budgeting, management and external reporting, general accounting, treasury, payroll, and tax compliance. This role requires a focus on the strategic priorities of the organization, including overseeing M&A activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. The CFO will also manage the financial team, facilities team, and all financial regulatory reporting, and will be expected to foster strategic stakeholder relationships at local, state, and national levels. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA and/or M.S. in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. A minimum of 5 years' of finance or accounting leadership experience in a senior role, particularly within a nonprofit with a budget of at least $25 million, is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic planning, M&A, and managing financial activities across multiple funding sources. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to ensure financial compliance and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and GAAP.
