Vice President, Senior Counsel About the Company Well-established real estate investment trust IndustryReal Estate TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a V.P. Senior Counsel with a focus on retail real estate leasing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of lease agreement activities, including preparation, negotiation, re-drafting, and finalization of office lease agreements and related documents for new and existing tenants. This role requires close coordination with leasing representatives to ensure the timely execution of lease agreements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in real estate leasing transactions, with a strong background in office building leasing, and some experience in an in-house legal environment. Key skills include outstanding analytical, writing, and lease drafting abilities, a team-first mentality, excellent customer service skills, and a practical, results-oriented approach. Applicants for the V.P. Senior Counsel position at the company should be graduates of a nationally-recognized law school and admitted to the California Bar or able to become a California Registered In-House Counsel. The role demands a self-starter with the ability to work independently, strong communication and reporting skills, and the capacity to manage multiple matters simultaneously. The candidate will also be expected to support the operations team in the development of new business initiatives and programs, as well as contribute to training efforts. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite is required, with the ability to develop skills in other computer-based technologies used company-wide.
