This role is pivotal in overseeing communications, advocacy, governmental relations, grant writing, development, and outreach/community engagement. The successful candidate will also serve as the Director of the Foundation, which is dedicated to providing financial and volunteer support. Key responsibilities include providing external leadership, articulating and implementing the organization's strategic mission, and ensuring maximum innovation and impact in support of community health services. The SVP will be responsible for cultivating relationships with decision-makers, funders, and community partners, as well as supervising a collaborative staff to align with the agency's strategic goals. Applicants for the SVP position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record in external affairs, communications, fundraising, or related fields, preferably within the healthcare or nonprofit sector. The role requires knowledge of community health, public health, or a clinical background, and experience in advocacy and health policy. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, self-starting individual with excellent public speaking, writing, time management, and organizational skills. Experience in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, government officials, and community partners is essential, as is the ability to work independently and apply trauma-informed care principles.
