The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of financial activities, including the preparation of monthly financial statements, overseeing the monthly closing process, and ensuring the accuracy of AR/AP and project accounting. This role requires a hands-on approach to financial management, including the review and approval of financial transactions, the preparation of labor reports, and the maintenance of internal controls. The CFO will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and will work closely with external auditors during the year-end audit process. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least 3 years' experience in the construction industry with a focus on union payroll, and a strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Experience with WIP closing, job costing, and quarterly payroll taxes is essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in a similar role, with experience in maintaining and improving financial policies and procedures, and the ability to provide strategic financial support to the organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
