The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a flexible, risk-based global internal audit strategy, and leading a team to execute financial, operational, compliance, and strategic audit plans. This role requires a leader who can ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and processes, particularly in the context of the company's growth and transformation. The Head of Internal Audit will also be a key advisor to business leadership, a trusted business partner, and will work closely with the external auditors. Essential responsibilities include maintaining a current understanding of internal systems and processes, acting in accordance with regulatory requirements, and leveraging technology to improve business processes. Candidates for this role at the company should have a BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent, with at least 12 years' experience in audit or accounting, and prior management-level responsibility in internal or public accounting. A CPA is preferred, and formal Sarbanes-Oxley experience is required. The role demands a professional with strong technical U.S. GAAP accounting knowledge, the ability to interact with all levels of management, and a proven track record of building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
