Senior Counsel, Renewable Energy About the Company Renowned renewable energy company IndustryRenewables & Environment TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is in need of a Senior Counsel to provide legal support for the expansion of their on-site renewable energy business. This role is pivotal in the fast-growing sector, with a specific focus on distributed generation solar PV energy, battery storage, electric vehicle charging, and related hardware and software technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and drafting a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to, turnkey installation agreements, power purchase agreements, and operation services agreements. The role also involves leading contract negotiations, managing internal legal requirements, and serving as the main legal contact for the business and management teams. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor degree and be a member of a State Bar Association, preferably California. A minimum of 3-10 years' of legal experience in relevant fields such as renewable energy, distributed generation, technology, construction, project finance, or energy is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in renewable commercial contract drafting and negotiation, be adept at providing legal support for business activities, and have a strong understanding of laws and regulations in the industry. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a proactive, self-starting approach to work are essential.
