The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of a diverse range of projects, including those that promote economic development and enhance neighborhoods and communities. This role involves strategic management of the department's goals, initiatives, and efficiencies, as well as close coordination with asset management to ensure the successful delivery of capital improvement projects. The Senior Vice President will also be a key liaison with city agencies, providing updates and directing progress on the projects. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for professional licensure in New York State, and at least 10 years' of professional design and/or construction management experience. The role requires significant project management experience on complex public projects, as well as a background in working with government entities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managerial experience, including the ability to lead a team of design and construction professionals, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Familiarity with the NYC construction industry and its unique challenges is essential.
