The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day surveillance assignments, including the review and follow-up on a variety of trade surveillance alerts and exception reports related to market abuse risks within FX, fixed income, futures, and swaps activities. This role requires a professional with a strong background in financial services, particularly in securities business, and at least 7 years' experience in the field. The candidate should have a deep understanding of regulatory rules and market abuse typologies, as well as experience with trade surveillance tools and platforms such as Bloomberg BTCA, Actimize, and SMARTS. Proficiency in market data analysis, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work with various stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive response to detected risks are essential. Applicants for this role at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and investigative skills. The role also involves staying current with regulatory issues, supporting quality assurance efforts, and contributing to the design and implementation of strategic surveillance controls. Experience in FX and related derivatives, as well as securities licenses, is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, a sense of ownership, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining high ethical standards and respect for confidentiality. The Market Surveillance team plays a critical role in the company's compliance activities, and the VP will be expected to proactively escalate issues and support surveillance transformation projects as directed.
