This position is accountable for managing a profile of large customers and equity groups to maintain and increase sales/growth and market share for the P&M Division. Position will serve as the single point of contact and will manage customer relationships, project management, procurement, and coordinate pricing across Regions/Sales Areas. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to make Sherwin-Williams the primary supplier for their respective regional accounts for all traffic coatings and products. Will work with the Sales Managers and adjacent Account Managers to ensure that multiple customer locations receive the same level of service & program offerings. The Account Manager must be able to effectively utilize resources, marketing, technical, and work with Sales Manager to meet customer expectations and achieve long-term sales/market growth. Will work with Sales Manager to create awareness of new products to serve customer needs. Will manage between $10MM-$25MM of assigned large customers with a market potential of $35MM+ in sales. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: High School or some college Preferred: Bachelors in Business, Marketing, or similar KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Ability to work with all levels of the P&M Sales/Marketing Organization Ability to work with P&M Technical Organization Preferred: Working knowledge of liquid traffic coatings and thermoset striping applications Working knowledge of the Traffic Coatings market/network, including any of the following: Existing Equity Groups, Large Long-Line Contractors, DOT product qualification process, ATSSA TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Ability to gather and ship samples for technical analysis Preferred: Ability to make onsite technical recommendations to solve customer issues and improve customer coating operations, also manage customers operational cost savings opportunities TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more
