The Marketplace Architect is pivotal in designing and implementing the technical framework and strategies for the internal enterprise-wide data marketplace. This role enhances data accessibility, clarity, and usefulness. The Architect collaborates closely with the Marketplace Manager and cross-functional Enterprise Data & Insights (ED&I) teams to integrate systems, resolve connectivity issues, and ensure seamless data flow and optimal utilization. Key responsibilities include planning marketplace upgrades, designing data distribution models, and implementing new data technologies and tools in collaboration with technical teams to support scalability and performance. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Technical Framework Design and Connectivity Solutions: Develop and implement technical frameworks and strategies to enhance the operations and performance of the internal data marketplace, resolving connectivity issues to ensure seamless data flow. Cross-Functional and Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the Marketplace Manager, ED&I, and DT teams to align marketplace architecture with business objectives and strategies, and work with stakeholders to understand and address their needs, harmonize data, and improve usage. Data Modeling and Distribution: Implement and maintain data models and schemas within the marketplace based on business requirements and data governance policies, and design data distribution models to ensure optimal performance of data transactions. Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate and implement new data tools and technologies to support marketplace scalability and performance. Performance Improvement: Assist the Marketplace Manager in using data-driven insights to continuously improve marketplace performance. IT and Data Architecture Alignment: Coordinate with IT and data management teams to ensure alignment of marketplace architecture with IT infrastructure and overall data architecture. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or in lieu of a related degree, at least 8 years of experience in data architecture or data management. Preferred: Related certifications (e.g., Certified Data Architect, Certified Data Management Professional) preferred. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 10+ years of experience in a data-related role with a focus on data architecture or data marketplace management. Strong understanding of data management principles, data connectivity, and data collection and distribution technologies. Proven ability to design and implement effective data architectures within a marketplace environment. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve complex data challenges. Experience with marketplace platforms and technologies TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Programming and Analytics Tools: Proficiency in JAVA, SQL, Python, and R. Data Visualization Tools: Experience with Tableau and MicroStrategy. Data Management Tools: Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases. Software Development Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Data Warehousing & ETL Processes: Expertise in data warehousing and ETL processes. Data Marketplace Tools: Experience with tools like Collibra. Travel 10%
