Lead DevOps Engineer (Onsite)

Lead DevOps Engineer (Onsite) Cognizant is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with a strong commitment and dedication to join our Engineering team in Denver, CO, USA. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our DevOps strategy, ensuring efficient and seamless integration of software development and operations. Location: Chicago, IL. Responsibilities: Automation: Design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks like code deployment, server provisioning, and configuration management. CI/CD Pipelines: Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable more frequent, reliable, and efficient software releases. Infrastructure Management: Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure resources (servers, networks, and databases). Monitoring and Observability: Use monitoring and logging systems to track application and infrastructure performance, identify problems, and solve them. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to automate and optimize the processes of building, testing, and deploying software. Technical Support: Provide technical support and solve issues to ensure smooth operation of IT systems2 . Requirements: Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python. Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks. CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
