New Ways of Work: This position has been segmented as hybrid meaning the work is a combination of 3 days onsite In Rosemont, IL (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and 3 days remotely (Monday, and Friday) as defined by the role segmentation.RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize analytics to derive insight, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and support development of the long-term strategy for US Foods Direct.Provide innovative and impactful insights and recommendations to stakeholders and upper management.Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, and dashboards that support key business decisions.Manage a team of analysts, responsible for maintaining item and system setups, as well as reporting and analysis, and driving insights.Develop a data reporting structure and analytics strategy for US Foods Direct, building a single source of truth data set for entire US Foods Direct team to leverage, including accurate pricing, costing, and margins.Define and own the audit process, including auditing of all item setups, looking for gaps and opportunities for additional sales. Additionally, own the financial auditing of 3rd party shipping costs to ensure optimal shipping price accuracy.Support business partners in evaluating and communicating financial performance, including monthly results and identifying risks / opportunities.Facilitate knowledge sharing across analysts within their team, and with analytical teams across the company.As needed, lead projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.SUPERVISION:A team of up to 6 analystsRELATIONSHIPSInternal: Work closely with stakeholders across the enterprise including Category Mgmt, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, etc.External: Work closely with vendors, suppliers, third party consultants and contractors.WORK ENVIRONMENTHybrid: This role is partially remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a combined home-based and office-based environment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 7 years of experience in business, analytics or other relevant area, including 2 years of people management experienceProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAble to proficiently compile, manipulate and manage large streams of complex data, garner meaningful conclusions and trends from its analysis, and make impactful recommendations to further drive improvements and business performanceEDUCATIONBA degree in business, analytics or similar, or equivalent work experience requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience with applications such as Power BI and Power QueryMBAPHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONSStandard required physical activities including length of time performing each activity.Universal pay verbiage:Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
