Yes, every Sunday we're closed!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Optician - General Manager to lead our optical store in North Charleston. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.Provide visionary leadership to achieve and maintain the highest level of customer serviceManage and optimize store profitability by monitoring sales, performance goals, and P&L statementsDevelop and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and budgeted goalsOversee visual merchandising and ensure proper execution of store promotions and advertising campaignsRecruit, train, and supervise store associates, fostering a motivated and high-performing teamAnalyze market trends and compile competitive information to inform business decisionsGenerate and present daily and weekly performance reports to upper managementMaintain professional relationships with doctors, National Vision associates, and customersEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain required licensesImplement and monitor quality control measures for all optical products and servicesQualificationsValid state license as an OpticianABO & NCLE CertificationProven management experience in the retail optical industryStrong leadership and team-building skillsExcellent customer service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional experiencesProficient in financial management, including P&L analysis and budget forecastingAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisionsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think criticallyProficiency in computer systems and software relevant to optical retail managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in visual merchandising and promotional strategiesKnowledge of current optical industry trends and best practicesAbility to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred (not required)Additional InformationTaking care of our peopleWe understand the importance of financial health and security, and because of that, we provide competitive compensation to all Associates - including bonus potential for every position in the store!
