Parkview Regional Medical Center·Oncology Administration Fort Wayne,IN Support Services Work Location:PFCI Benefit Eligible:Non-benefited Req #176886 PRN - As needed,PRN Weekends?No Summary Exceeds patient and family member expectations by greeting and assisting through a modified valet practice at the circle drive of the Parkview Cancer Institute (PCI). Manages the assessment of patient need and provides wheelchair assistance from the building entrance or parking lot as necessary. Provides a welcoming and supportive environment to patients and their families at the concierge desk. Professionally greets and screens (COVID) all patients, families, and visitors entering through the main lobby. Gauges the need of the patient, and directs patients to the proper point of service depending on that need. Uses professional etiquette in answering questions from patients, visitors and public. Makes rounds throughout the day seeking to proactively assist visitors by answering questions and providing information. Keeps the PCI lobby and waiting areas clean and organized by ensuring magazines and other items are picked up regularly and fresh water and coffee are available. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians. Under the direction of the PCI Concierge Services Manager supports the clerical functions of the physician practices to ensure quality care and obtains accurate demographic and financial information. Schedules and coordinates appointments for Wig Boutique services. Provides oversight for activities within the Resource Center. Education Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Medical terminology and/or hospitality experience preferred. Licensure/Certification N/A Experience Must have computer experience. 2 years of customer service experience preferred. Physician office experience preferred. Other Qualifications Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to exceeding patient and family expectations. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Willing to learn and grow. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Service related experience preferred. Why Parkview?
