*Environmental Service Positions are currently eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of $1,000* Working in Environmental Services makes you an integral part of our hospital. This Environmental Services Assistant will be responsible for custodian and housekeeping duties such as:Performing hard floor care: dusting and damp moppingPerforming carpet and furniture care: vacuuming, spot removal, shampooingCollecting and disposing of trash, soiled linen and recyclable materials. Replacing receptacle liners and recycling collection totesCleaning horizontal and vertical surfaces: dusting, damp wiping, spot cleaning of vents, light fixtures, window ledges, door surfaces, etcCleaning restrooms, cleaning fixtures and replenishing restroom suppliesCleaning and maintaining items in assigned areas including stairwells, elevators, water fountains, walls, windows, furniture, I.V. poles, baseboards, wheelchairs, toys, glassware, and equipmentChanging curtains, draperies, blinds, and shades as assignedOperating electric and battery powered equipment for cleaning services and rearrangement of furniture/equipmentPicking up necessary supplies, packing regulated medical waste, responding to floods and other emergencies. Wearing protective clothing, as requiredRemoving soiled linens/protective coverings, cleansing and remaking beds, stretchers, exam tables, etc*Part-time (20hrs)- Schedule will be 7am to 5:30pm every weekend and holidays*To qualify, you must have:The ability to read and understand written instructions in EnglishThe ability to add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and lettersThe ability to understand and respond to English written or verbal instructions.
