Brief description of the role below: ProAmpac is seeking a Product Development Engineer, who is detail-oriented, a self-starter, a critical thinker and possesses a Chemical or Packaging Engineering degree. In this role you will be assisting two sites and will need to be responsive with good project management skills. This role requires you to lead design, develop, test and execute products in growth programs; as well as design, control and analyze experiments to evaluate changes to current products caused by changes to materials, processes and procedures and ensure that the results are documented and published. You will lead/support product commercialization projects, project justification and launch process for assigned product lines. Projects may include support of completely new product opportunities or improvements on existing products. Along with providing guidance and assistance to the Quality Department staff as needed; amongst other duties. Qualifications, Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years' work experience REQUIRED (minus any internships) 2 - 4 years technical service, process control, quality engineering, product development or other related technical and/or manufacturing experience Bachelor's Degree required, preferably chemical or packaging engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of adhesives, barrier properties/technology of materials and lamination processes CAD or SolidWorks experience preferred Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies required such as Six Sigma, Lean, etc.... Experience with FDA requirements and ISO standards.
