Our client in the technology industry is seeking a Hardware Lab Technician to join their team. As a Hardware Lab Technician, you will be part of the Hardware team supporting Azure Cloud hardware. The ideal candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, be a team player, detail-oriented, and have experience working with datacenter compute hardware, executing and modifying scripts for compute hardware testing, working with UNIX or Linux based operating systems, reworking computer circuit boards, and experience with electronics test equipment. Job Title: Hardware Lab Technician Location: Redmond, WA Pay Range: Up to $52/hr. - $55//hr. What's the Job? Execute tests on data center compute and cooling hardware. Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs. Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation. Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system. What's Needed? 5-7 years of experience in the field. No degree is required to be eligible for this role. Most of the skills are acquired through job training. If the candidate did have a technical degree in electronics, it would be a plus. The ideal resume would contain Execute Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurements on test boards and engineering validation boards for the validation of interconnect performance experience then they would be the preferred candidate. Either at Microsoft or a similar company to Microsoft, and Data center/Hardware Experience. What's in it for me?
