Zurich North America is currently hiring an E&S Underwriting Clearance Associate in the Excess and Surplus Underwriting team! You will primarily support the Underwriter, Underwriting Account Service Associate, and agent/broker with highly responsive service focused on clearance, entry, and assignment of submissions. This position requires good organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and accuracy while handling a high volume of tasks. This position works under direct supervision following standard processing procedures. In this role you will be responsible for: Monitor product line submission email boxes; clear and enter submissions according to standard guidelines; archive, label and index email and attachments; assign and route to correct UnderwriterCommunicate with producers to confirm submission receipt, provide transparency on submission process, and ensure complete submission information is available for Underwriting teamsProvide superior customer/broker service by collaborating closely with Underwriters and Underwriting Account Service Associates, internal partners, and external partnersSupport prioritization of submissions based on defined criteriaSupport the Underwriting Account Service Associate regarding submissions, correspondence and underwriting requests and the ability to determine independently how to properly process documents based upon standardized guidelinesTimely and accurate submission clearance, triage, and routing for the E&S BUReceive, investigate, and respond to technical queries from producers and/or colleagues to ensure producers receive appropriate adviceMandatory overtime during Peak Periods/Shift Work/Holiday Work, as requiredBusiness Travel, as required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaANDKnowledge of data collection and analysisMicrosoft Office experience Preferred Qualifications: Insurance industry knowledgeExcellent organizational and time management skillsDetail-oriented, results-oriented, and accuracy-focused, specifically as it relates to data entrySuccessful experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentSelf-directed and highly productive with light supervisionComfortable with high volume workloads, fast-paced service standards and metric-based performance assessmentGood verbal and written communication skillsExperience working with remote customers and/or employeesExcel - Intermediate level5% TravelAs an insurance company, Zurich is subject to 18 U.S. Code § 1033.
