Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will boast strong mechanical skills, supervise production employees, coordinate with other departments to meet the needs of the business, and ensure plant production is operating accordingly. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: Plan and schedule plant maintenance to maximize productivity and optimize the utilization of manpower, resources, and equipment. Supervise and direct production crews, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, as well as daily, weekly, and annual performance objectives. Report daily production and track KPIs of plant performance. Ensure material production meets quality control standards. Assist in accessing and optimizing the usage of existing reserves. Schedule plant and mobile repair and maintenance internally and with outside vendors. Ensure proper staffing levels are kept for the efficiency of the plant at all times. Promote safe work habits and provide safe working conditions - lead daily tailgate meetings, ensure job tasks are completed as per job procedures, and demonstrate leadership towards all company safety policies. Perform related job duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma is required Minimum of 5 years of work experience in aggregate maintenance/production or at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a related industry. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate, concisely, and respectfully. Composure, and the ability to professionally present information to, and respond to questions from others. Ability, desire, and motivation that align with the work environment, fluctuating shift schedules, extended periods moving back and forth to all areas of the plant, and occasionally lifting heavy objects and working in awkward/confined spaces. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 5 years or more aggregate plant operating experience College education or post high school technical training Understanding of the chemistry of raw mix, clinker, and aggregate SAP WORK ENVIRONMENT: Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions. Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists), use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 75-100 lbs., work in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment.
