SAFETY INTERSHIP OPPORTUNITY: We currently have an internship opportunity during the summer of 2025 for a detail-oriented, self -motivated student in Indianapolis, IN. This opportunity is perfect for a student interested in gaining experience and knowledge in the safety aspects in the construction materials/heavy industry workspace. You will have the opportunity to learn about a stable industry as you work in multiple locations. This is a unique opportunity for you to begin your career with a proven leader in the hot mix asphalt, aggregate and construction materials industry. What you'll get to do: Assist Safety Manager with safety audits, monitoring plant safety programs, initiatives, and compliance inspections Write work hazard analyses Develop training plans and audit safety training records Review and assist compliance of safety data sheets Assist documenting audit findings reports for distribution to operations management, and works with operations to implement controls Assist the safety manager with routine aspects and continuous improvement initiatives Any other duties as assigned Work safely and follow all Federal and State laws and regulations as well as company and site specific policies Who we are looking for: Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college majoring in a safety program Requires proficient knowledge of applicable tools and technologies to be used on the job including Word, Excel. High level written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills Willingness and ability to work indoors or outdoors in a heavy manufacturing setting.
