Our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of our communities as a leader in clinical laboratory solutions.LOCATION:  250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801HOURS: Flexible Daytime HoursFULL TIME: Benefits eligible ** Hybrid On-Site - Position requires in office attendance to be at least 1-3 days per week, not fully remote In this role you will:Research and reconcile denied and unpaid medical claims, no fault, and workers' compensation claimsCollect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers reject reports, EOB's and or correspondenceUse established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely appropriate follow up actionAlong with other tasks assigned by your supervisor, up to and including customer service support/answering patient callsReview claims for possible refunds to insurance and/or patientsResearch claims rejected by clearing houseAll other tasks necessary to collect on unpaid claims, along with other tasks assigned by your supervisor, up to and including customer service support/answering patient callsAll you need is:High School Diploma or GEDMedical Billing Certification, preferredCoding Certification, a plusLaboratory experience, a plusStrong computer skills with proficiency or knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordAt least two years experience in denials or accounts receivable, preferredSalary range is $18.00 - 22.00. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.Sonic Healthcare USA, reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
