Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer, Mid joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER, MID WILL MAKE AN IMPACTThe Systems Engineer designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This includes the coordination of system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.GDIT JOB DESCRIPTION:•Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects•Develops solutions to a variety of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity•Perform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end•Oversees moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools•Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis•Performs continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies•Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects•Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technologyWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:EDUCATION: BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experienceQUALIFICATIONS:•5+ years of related systems engineering experience•Active TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI polyREQUIRED SKILLS:•Linux system administrator•Scripting / Coding experience (Bash, Python, etc)DESIRED SKILLS:A deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following:•Operational support experience•Kubernetes•Ansible•Helm charts•Automation•Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)•Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies•Infrastructure as Code (IaC)•Ceph storage platform•GitLab•Location: Customer Site•US Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● 401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#RoverGSSThe likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
