This role does work 12 hour shifts and increases to $40.00/hour after 120 day probationary period. Requires a Ohio Class III Stationary Steam Engineer License Sign On Bonus of $3,000 Basic Job Skills Ability to obey all safety rules and identify and correct potential safety problemsAbility to work both in a team environment and individually as requiredProficient written and verbal communication skillsFollow SOP's and/or PM task instruction setsCommunicate with production prior to starting job and when job is completedAbility to clearly communicate this information to team membersStrong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of tools and equipmentPerform routine work as scheduled, or as time permitsTroubleshoot equipment/systems as requiredIdentify and implement solutions to recurring equipment problemsAssist I&E technicians and mechanics as needed / as askedMust be able to identify the need for, and request engineering/vendor assistance as requiredCommunicate and work with other groups (process engineers, production technicians, quality control) as necessary to promote efficiency in problem solving and work schedulingRequired to clean up after jobs are completed / perform housekeeping as required in the areaFamiliarize product, steam and airflows though out the areaPerform Lock out Tag out and work permitting for all maintenance in areaIncrease to $40.00/hr after completion of 120 day probationary period. About You High School graduate or GEDOhio Class III Stationary Steam Engineer License5 Years minimum industrial experienceMust be willing to work overtime including nights, weekends and holidays, both scheduled and on call-in basisDemonstrated experience with plant equipment (pumps, piping systems, columns, tanks, compressors, turbines, high pressure boilers, etc) including troubleshooting Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to safely perform the following tasks:Lifting of up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance.Use of hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under application of heavy force by employee.Work in elevated positions with hand tools and fall restraint equipment.Ability to wear personnel protective equipment (PPE) What we offer you: A starting salary of $37.14 per hour with the potential to earn up to $40.00 per hour as soon as 120 days.Benefits from Day 1 - medical, dental, vision, and 401K with company matchVacation including personal days as soon as 120 days.$0.85 shift differential for off-shift (B, C & D)Paid Parental Leave12 paid holidays per yearWorking with a dedicated and dynamic team. Location/Environment We are in Dayton, Ohio. You must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures. This is also a physical job. You must be able climb stairs and ladders, lift and carry 55 lbs., and perform other physical duties. Successful candidates must also pass drug screen and background check.
