Mercy is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse to join our HUB team in a non-patient contact role. Who We Are: The Hub has many names: Hub Patient Placement and Staffing Throughput Center Transfer Center The Hub covers three main roles Patient Placement/Bed Planning Staffing/Nursing Logistics Coordinating Patients who transfer into a Mercy Hospital in the East This position requires you to be onsite at Mercy STL and is a closed unit. This is a great role for an acute care experienced nurse looking for a way to stay involved at the bedside without the physical demands of primary nursing. This team primarily works on the phone/computer to keep the well-oiled machine running! We are looking for compassionate and hardworking health care workers that are interested in being a part of great team. OVERVIEW: The East Region Throughput Center RN serves as the clinical expert for the unit. There are three main focuses of this position: To be the first point of contact for providers or other healthcare facilities throughout the region that need/want to transfer/admit to a Mercy facility. The assignment of patients to an appropriate unit based on the identified criteria within each facility. Staffing The position will utilize EMR modules, electronic scheduling systems and will collaborate with others within the unit as well as a variety of care teams. The ultimate goal is to facilitate a comprehensive, efficient and highly reliable admission, transfer and staffing experience for providers, patients and coworkers. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications: Current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse Minimum of 3 years RN experience in Telemetry or higher required.
