Financial Accountant

Job Title: Financial Accountant Location: Champion, MI Pay: $30.00 per Hour What's the Job? - Ensure the maintenance of accurate accounting records. - Support month-end close activities, including compiling and analyzing accruals, account reconciliations, preparation of cost review summaries, and other reporting items as needed. - Assist project owners in understanding and managing costs, identifying trends, and building reports. - Gain an in-depth understanding of the cost drivers of the business. - Understand the business unit's operating processes, metals inventory flow, revenue streams, and cost flows. - Support monthly, quarterly, and periodic reporting requirements. - Undertake ad-hoc analysis and evaluation of issues as required. Perform other duties as required What's Needed? - Temporary Full Time Position, ASAP through May of 2025.  - M-F 8 hour day shift. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required - Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting, project accounting preferred. - Strong analytical skills preferred. - Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required. - Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management and professionals with diverse backgrounds. - Working knowledge of SAP or another major ERP preferred. - Sound understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards preferred.
