Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: At Michael Foods, Inc. we are First in Food because we are First in People. This is an opportunity for an experienced HR leader to execute business strategy through people management practices while strengthening our First in People culture and leading/ mentoring HR leaders. The Regional Director Human Resources actively drives business results by innovative people practices in an ever-changing landscape. The position is a key contributor to the company's growth and performance through his or her leadership in the creation and implementation of people strategies that are built on a foundation of safety, quality and achieve on time and in full results to our customers. This role is a consultant to management on business opportunities related to people and acts as an employee champion and change agent. This role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively as this role partners across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Strengthen a first in people culture by utilizing tools from compensation, talent acquisition, legal, talent management, performance to build a highly collaborative and customer focused culture with highly engaged employees. Mentor HR professionals across the business to become high performing business partners. Prepare communications the why, what, when, who, of HR to business Drive and manage career growth in collaboration with the Director of Talent Management through development goals, career tracks, and learning programs. Lead the development, implementation, and coordination of policies, procedures and programs supporting critical HR initiatives including production hourly recruitment, retention strategy, hourly compensation, employee safety and internal/external communication.Understand the talent pool, from the bottom up, to proactively identify leadership and/or talent gaps, development opportunities, and internal mobility options. Partner in facilitation of succession management, high potential retention and closing the readiness gap. Serve as business partner to specific leaders in Supply Chain / Operations and Corporate leaders for all HR related projects, processes, and employee relations concerns.Effectively partner across the internal Post HR organization and with the PHI shared services to create and promote effective and efficient solutions. Demonstrates and drives a sense of urgency in execution of business plans while embracing transparency, empowerment, and accountability throughout the organization.Ensure the right culture, processes and measurements are in place to drive the actions required to deliver results.Champion diversity equity and inclusionACCOUNTABILITIES:Talent retention, development and attraction strategies Advisor and coach Performance management and measurementCommunication from HR to company. Acquisition evaluation, diligence & integration in relation to Supply Chain capabilities Employee & Labor relations strategic initiativesCompliance with all legal and government reporting regulations affecting HR matters Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree required7+ years of experience in strategic HR leadership role including time in a manufacturing environmentExpertise in written and verbal communication Prior experience with organizational design and workforce planningAbility to function at a strategic level and to execute in a hands-on fashionProven ability to translate company priorities into actionable HR itemsExperience and success in working with a matrix organizationHighly effective communicator who can clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposalsProject management skills to include M&A capabilitiesFinancial acumen: must be capable of conducting quantitative analysis, with a proven ability to work with numbers and financial dataAbility to travel 60% of the time.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Master's degree or MBA a plusExperience in employee relations, union negotiation a plusFood Manufacturing Experience a plusThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work and may not include all the duties required of the position.
