This is a union position - International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE Local 18) Location: Cleveland, OH 44199Type of Employment: Full-time w/JLL + IUOE Local 18 benefitsSchedule: On-site, Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with a rotating on-call schedule for after-hour emergenciesAdditional Perks: company uniforms, cell phone, free training, $250.00 annual shoe allowance, etc.Compensation: $34.86  + (Health & Welfare = $13.88) + (Pension = $4.25) Total wage = $52.99 an hour What your day-to-day will look like:Installs, services, maintains and repairs environmental-control systems in residences, department stores, office buildings and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform floor, using hand tools, follows blueprints or engineering specifications.Fabricates, assembles and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using metalworking tools and welding equipment.Installs evaporator unit chassis or in air-duct system, using hand tools.Other duties may include general maintenance work such as light plumbing, electrical, paint/patch carpentry or other.All HVAC personnel designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair HVAC equipment or systems shall maintain a minimum of sixteen (16) hours of continuing education annually from a NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider program. All HVAC personnel designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair HVAC equipment or systems shall possess one (1) or more of the following certifications:a. North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVACR Service Technician Certificationb. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certificationc. UA Star HVACR Mastery CertificationPhysical Work Requirements & ConditionsMust be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tallAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or driveRequired Experience, Skills, and Abilities:High School diploma or GED equivalent; trade school education, union training, military service is desirableIUOE Local 18 member or interest in obtaining membershipThree (3)+ years of relevant work experience, preventive & corrective maintenance of commercial &/or industrial buildings/equipmentNeed a strong expertise with MEP especially commercial HVACEPA Section 608 Universal certificationMust possess or be able to obtain required NATE HVAC certification (or within 90 days of employment) Located in Cleveland, OH metro area (relocation assistance is not available for this role)Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS)Strong Customer Service & Interpersonal skillsExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Due to federal government regulations pertaining to secured areas on-site, candidates applying for the position must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship.
