Overview: The Consumer Lending Manager is responsible for the overall direction of Consumer Lending operations for the organization. Has direct oversight of the Consumer Lending Department, ensuring that Members receive prompt, accurate, efficient, and high quality service over multiple channels including digital, phone, branch and indirect. This position will also resolve member issues and escalated concerns on Member accounts via phone, e-mail, and secure message. Supports the Vice President of Consumer Lending to execute on the Credit Union's goals and strategic objectives. Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies and procedures. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Consumer Lending Department to ensure that service standards are being met, including, but not limited to; recruiting, coaching, development, training, disciplinary action, counseling, performance evaluations, monitoring staff attendance, including scheduling and timecard approval and performs monthly one on ones with staff. Ensure that loans are processed and funded accurately and in a timely manner as well as with established lending guidelines and department Service Level Agreements (SLA's). Responsible for managing the daily workflow and monitoring of the loan queues and recommends procedure enhancements as needed. Responsible for the member and staff experience and looks to develop or enhance processes that progress the level of service. Assists with researching, evaluating and implementing department and/or organizational projects that pertain to the scope of the department. Responsible for creating reports, providing analysis and any recommendations for change. Researches and resolves Member complaints and implements systems and procedures to prevent future complaints. Receives and resolves Member complaints in all aspects of Consumer Lending. Serves as the primary point of contact for underwriting exceptions and escalations. Decisions escalations within department procedures and assigned underwriting limits. Performs duties that support all lending policies and procedures; maintains quality control processes; and shares responsibility for off-site special events related to lending service and delivery methods. Staying informed of changing trends within the Credit Union movement, banking industry and, lending, and offering recommendations for change. Contacts the member/dealer to communicate consumer lending rates, disbursements and/or other information in an accurate and timely manner as needed. Assist the Dealer Relationship Representative with data entry, review and correction of errors within loan packages/forms, daily report reconciliation, and due diligence. Demonstrate leadership in words and actions on a daily basis; act as a role model for success and engagement. Create a positive high performing work environment conductive to trust and transparency. Supports the Vice President of Consumer Lending in leading the department and assumes those duties in his/her absence. Qualifications: Required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field. 7+ years' experience in the financial services industry. Minimum 5 years' experience in consumer lending, loan processing and funding. 5+ years' leadership experience including delegating, facilitating change, mentoring, problem solving, coaching and counseling staff with increasing responsibility related to training peers. 3+ years of underwriting experience in consumer lending Preferred Education and Experience: Knowledge of DMV documentation and processes Experience lending in multiple states Salary Range: $87,284.82-$130,927.22 Service Excellence Standards: Service Excellence Standards When joining Frontwave Credit Union, you can expect to be a part of a workforce committed to the following Service Excellence standards: • We see it.
