What you will doYou will perform in a lead design role for electrical power distribution systems related to mission critical data center applications. Functions include power distribution design and electrical planning of mission critical data center equipment (Modular Data Centers and Modular Power Rooms), electrical manufacturing design and liaising with clients, vendors, internal customers, and project teams to ensure projects and products are successfully completed through the entire lifecycle. Assistance is available for this position to support relocation to the Gilbert, AZ area.How you will do itLead electrical design development throughout the project lifecycle.Perform detailed reviews of electrical drawings and prepare construction work packages.Execute electrical design calculations for applications such as Power Rooms for Modular Data Centers, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) sizing, generator sizing, lighting design, and heat dissipation, along with performing comprehensive power system studies utilizing SKM software.Provide construction support, including RFI, shop drawing review, and commissioning support.Conduct on-site data collection, equipment evaluations, and investigative procedures to inform project decision-making and progress.Create detailed project documentation, such as single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and material bills, ensure all deliverables are precise and comprehensiveAnalyze and troubleshoot electrical components.Develop project deliverables such as single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Other duties as assigned.What we look forRequired:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required4+ years of related experience in power distribution design and electrical planning including experienced in the design and implementation of electrical distribution, control, and instrumentation systems for a diverse range of sectors (ideally with Modular Data Center projects and/or HVAC industrial systems)Proven experience leading the electrical design process throughout all project stages, from initial concept through detailed design to construction support, including the preparation of design basis memorandaStrategic electrical routing and designing using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical)Proficient in project management tools for estimating, scheduling, and tracking project progress.Comprehensive understanding of safety, electrical, and building codes (e.g., CSA, IEEE, API, NFPA, OH&S)Ability to prepare scopes of work and construction work packages, focusing on LV electrical system reliability and preventative maintenanceCapable of providing construction support, including RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, field inspections, and commissioning supportCompetent in quality control activities, ensuring project deliverables meet industry codes and standards, such as NEC and CECStrong communication skills for technical concept explanation and monthly reporting on project achievements and areas for improvementComputer literacy including solid Microsoft Office experienceCommitment to continuous technical learning and personal developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel to field worksite locations including domestic United States and occasional international travelPreferred:Previous design experience with Mission Critical electrical infrastructurePE License or ability to obtainTake some time to learn about us and apply today!
