Position Summary: A Battery Validation Manager ensures that established quality standards are met with respect to the safety of cells and modules. The main role of the Battery Validation Manager is to verify and assure product safety in accordance with quality standards that are determined either by international standards or by a specific customer requirements. Battery Validation Manager must verify necessary test requirements and provide issue resolution for all discovered safety issues The Battery Validation Manager must work closely with various departments of the company to thoroughly verify the necessary tests and support effective problem solving. When defects are found lead containment, analysis, and resolution to prevent defect propagation. Battery Validation Manager is also responsible for documentation, communication and read across all issue's corrective actions the goal of the safety test to increase customer satisfaction and manufacturing yield. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following. Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct training and manage schedules for Safety Test Inspectors, ensuring timely task completion. Perform safety testing for mass production changes and urgent customer requirements. Conduct Root Cause Analysis for environmental issues impacting safety testing, implementing corrective measures. Review and update product specifications, inspection standards, and manuals. Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions, preparing reports on safety outcomes for cross-functional teams. Maintain testing equipment reliability and collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business and technical requirements. Perform other position related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Basic: Minimum Age: 18 years old Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering High level of written and verbal communication Must be eligible to work in the United States While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international) Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required Preferred: Master's degree of higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or related disciplines. Specialization in batteries: specialized knowledge in electrochemistry, energy storage system, or battery technologies Experience in battery development: 5-10 years of experience in battery validation, testing, or product development, especially with electric vehicle battery or energy storage system. Knowledge of testing protocols: Familiarity with industry standards like ISO, UL, SAE, or IEC for battery testing and validation. Expertise in battery management system, testing methodologies (thermal, electrical, mechanical testing), and safety validation. Team leadership: Experience leading engineering teams and working with cross-functional teams, such as design and manufacturing, is plus Communication Skills: The ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of battery life cycles, failure modes, and testing equipment are essential to succeed in this role.
