JCI Employee discount programs (The Loop by Perk Spot) Check us Out: A Day in the Life of the Building of the Future What you will do:Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retail security products and equipment at customer sites. Keep track of your service calls via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized.Maintain an accurate parts inventory at levels that insure a first-time fix.Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly. Keep your manager in the loop about your customer's satisfaction, any potential sales opportunities or any recurring problems. Take care of other tasks as neededWhat we look for:Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or career equivalent required, military experience preferredGeneral knowledge of electronics requiredStrong understanding of Networking fundamentalsExcellent written and oral skillsMust have a valid driver's licenseWorking Knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skillsHighly organized, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independentlyMust have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power toolsWill maintain an inventory of parts stock for our customers; including ordering parts to always have on-hand and shipping used parts after useCapable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbsAble to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quicklyMust be capable of working independently or as a teamAbility to complete all JCI required EAS and Video trainings and certificationsAbility to travel and work overtime as neededAble to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documentsAbility to mentor and train othersAbility to perform service on more complete integrated solutions.Preferred skills:Networking Certification3 years or more work experience installing or servicing IP cameras and DVR/NVR systemsHighly adaptive to industry changes as they come and a strong work ethicAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
