The Cell QA (Quality Assurance) Abnormality Management Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of HV battery cell overall, defining inspection standards and validating measures to prevent and improve the leakage of defective products. Additionally, the QA Abnormality Management Engineer must possess the ability to identify causes and develop/implement effective countermeasures during the cell manufacturing process. The Abnormality Management Engineer must manage systems and processes necessary to prevent the recurrence of existing issues. The Abnormality Management Engineer must verify quality standards in accordance with the organization's requirements. The Abnormality Management Engineer must interact with all levels of the organization, resolve quality issues in a timely manner, and possess strong communication skills. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Roles and Responsibilities When abnormalities or defects occur in the process, take a leading role in preventing the leakage of defective products according to the defect handling procedures and verify the causes and countermeasures. Establish a quality KPI, check its progress. Monitor products, processes, and quality systems to prevent nonconformities Lead investigation and root cause analysis of non-conformances. Ensure continuous monitoring of all corrective actions and process improvement measures Review and update product specifications, inspection standards, manuals, and lesson learned activities Ensure on-going data collection and analysis to assure cell quality Continues improvement activity to optimize and enhance the efficiency of quality and inspection systems Perform data analysis to identify areas for improvement of quality system Develop, implement, and monitor efficacy of corrective and preventive actions Prepare updates and reports of quality outcome to communicate quality activities Provide management updates regularly Facilitate reviews to eliminate internal systemic and external roadblocks. Collaborate with management on team road map and strategy Work closely with key stakeholders to provide delivery according to schedule Manage multiple priorities and deliver internal and external results on time Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to clarify business and technical requirements for cell Quality Assurance Areas of Leadership and Technical abilities Action / Results oriented: Problem solving, attitude, deliver projects on time with high quality Strong presentation skills to clearly articulate: business problems, analytical approaches, potential solutions & recommendations Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations per team goals Ability to anticipate "what if" scenarios High level of written and verbal communication Self-motivated: energetic, enjoys working at quick pace High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation and controls experience with strong foundation in project management Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams Ability to coach / mentor / develop cell QC Inspectors Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to work overtime as required Preferred Requirements Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent. (Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered with technical industry experience) Bilingual English / Korean Master's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing Shainin Red X / Six Sigma Certification Experience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC (Statistical Process Control) Experience with quality certification and system such as ISO9001/IATF16949 is required Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs ASQ Certification in Quality and Reliability
