Maintains clinical knowledge and skills competency to facilitate patient care in accordance with current standards of practice. Provides for a safe patient care environment.   REQUIREMENTS:  Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.  Current RN licensure with Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State, if resident of that state). Minimum 2 years Nursing Experience specific to Emergency Services or 3-5 years of other acute care experience preferred.  BLS required.  ACLS within 6 months of hire. PALS and Hazmat within one year of hire. Certification in Emergency Nursing Preferred. Completes orientation according to policy/procedures.    UNIT DETAILS:  The new Emergency Department at Grace Medical Center features 17,000 square feet of state-of-the-art design with technology and amenities for emergency care. Patients and visitors will immediately see a larger, brighter space with a comfortable waiting room. Twenty-nine spacious, well-lit private treatment rooms are appointed throughout the space, with the providers' station positioned front and center. Here, physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and other clinicians will collaborate to provide a personalized plan of care for each patient. Negative pressure rooms are located in the department, for isolation of infectious diseases such as COVID-19. The new Emergency Department also includes a behavioral health treatment pod for patients in psychiatric or behavioral health crisis.
