Our successful candidate will lead our marketing team and work closely with the firm's senior leaders on executing Domini's marketing strategy, with the goal of driving positive net inflows from retail investors and expanding the Domini Funds' shareholder base.Life in a small firm requires a willingness to take on any task that needs completion to ensure firm and project success. This requires a passion for engaging in new challenges and roles, as well as fulfilling basic duties that are often crucial to achieving strong results and best-in-class branding.What You Will Do:Lead retail marketing and communications efforts for the Domini Funds to drive growth and retention of assets under management from retail investors.Assist in the development and implementation of Domini's retail marketing strategy, including documenting and providing routine reporting on specific goals, actions, and KPIs.Gain detailed knowledge of Domini's impact investing approach, mutual fund offerings, and competitive landscape in order to effectively communicate to investors.Develop deep understanding and insight into the Domini Funds' retail shareholder base, including shareholder demographics, values, and investment needs.Drive new account openings and positive fund flows through coordinated marketing campaigns consistent with established branding. Leverage Domini's intellectual property and thought leadership to clearly and effectively communicate to target customers about Domini's leadership in impact investing, how the Domini Funds align with their values, and how we can uniquely meet their investment needs.Strengthen relationships with existing retail shareholders through enhanced relationship marketing.Help to measure and optimize customer acquisition costs relative to lifetime value.Leverage paid, earned, shared, and owned (PESO) media to expand marketing reach, build brand awareness, and grow shareholder base. Identify media outlets through which we can effectively reach and communicate with target customers across marketing channels.Collaborate on and oversee the creation and distribution of retail marketing materials and cross-channel communications, including blog and video content, email marketing campaigns, press releases, print and digital advertisements, etc.Oversee and optimize usage of owned media platforms, including website and social media pages. Enhance user engagement, tracking, and reporting.Increase earned media opportunities by overseeing and coordinating outreach to and relationships with media contacts, including reporters, journalists, podcast producers, influencers, and other contacts in print and broadcast media channels.Manage the firm's strategy for retail marketing events and sponsorships. Help to plan and coordinate in-person and virtual events, including related PR and media opportunities. Identify and partner with compatible organizations and community groups through which we can directly reach target customers.Maintain comprehensive understanding of industry regulations regarding public communications, including relevant SEC and FINRA rules.Own and oversee implementation of marketing department procedures and guidelines.Operate as a direct report with management responsibilities for multiple employees.Our Ideal Candidate:Minimum 7-10 years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within the financial services industryBachelor's degree in related field requiredFINRA Series 6 or 7 license and Series 63 license preferred (required within first six months)Understanding of financial services industry and regulatory constraintsDemonstrated ability to translate marketing efforts into tangible salesHighly motivated with a desire to take initiative and deliver resultsExceptional communication and writing skills, with ability to produce creative and engaging marketing content consistent with brandingStrong organizational and project management skills and ability to manage multiple production schedulesAcute attention to detailAbility to constructively collaborate with and motivate team membersSound judgment, strong integrity, sensitivity to diverse constituencies, and a passion for helping build a better worldWhy Join Our Team:Be part of forward-thinking, inclusive team committed to making a positive difference in the worldBoutique financial services firm with an exclusive focus on impact investingThe base pay scale for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000.
