Job PurposeAs the Marketing Manager, you will be managing various aspects of on-property strategic marketing and programming, liaising with Sales, Rooms, and Food & Beverage departments, handling creative partnerships, and managing digital marketing platforms.Duties & Responsibilities 1. PARTNERSHIPS/PROGRAMMING· Discover new & nurture existing relationships with local partners that bring both culturally relevant and brand-aligned events and activations to the property that introduce the brand to new guests and create press value· Have a strong understanding and influence within the social and cultural scene in New York, East Village, and beyond. Act as a cultural ambassador for the property to continue to create activations and partnerships that make The Standard a cultural hub and leader within the industry· Oversee the local execution of large-scale brand collaborations including, but not limited to, rooms packages, artist residencies, retail pop-ups and product collabs, chef takeovers, and digital partnerships · Manage communication, promotion, and invite lists for key programming events· Support F&B department with programming events and execution· Field and analyze new events and partnership requests for initial review· Manage all special project needs including guest list management, event production, and PR coordination· Organize content partnerships with influencers to promote F&B outlets, rooms, and events2. SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE MAINTENANCE· Manage digital media presence across company website and, third-party sites· Manage and create content for the property Instagram, NO BAR Instagram, and property TikTok. This includes content creation, growth strategy, and contributing monthly posts to The Standard brand account, while ensuring imagery and copy is representative of the hotel · Oversee creative and budget strategy for digital ad campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google search + display) in collaboration with third-party media agency and corporate team· Update all Events + Specials on the hotel website on a regular basis. 3. PROMOTIONS/EMAIL MARKETING· Work with Sales and Revenue departments in order to create promotions and design communications in order to ensure hotel meets revenue · Manage email campaign calendar, copy, and creative briefs, support F&B and Events departments with promotion creation, execution, and communications4. PR/PHOTOSHOOT · Manage all hotel Media/PR requests · Vet all photo and film shoot requests and oversee shoots with a promotional aspect. Work directly with the property to effectively execute the shoot and all its needs· Work directly with PR companies to ensure all daily property initiatives in terms of hotel and F&B operations are communicated in a timely manner· Schedule and oversee direction of photography for overall property, food & beverage, and events5.GENERAL/COLLATERAL/ADMINISTRATIVE· Oversee and be accountable for on-property marketing budgets· Work with the corporate office to ensure inclusion of all major hotel activities on website, email, and social. Communicate and educate all corporate office initiatives to the property· Generate monthly marketing recaps for corporate and ownership teams · Oversee all hotel communication (flyers, signs, eblast etc.), briefing the in-house design team for asset requests· Lead the brand identity development and launch for pop-up F&B outlets, overseeing all supporting collateral. · Manage donation requests· Ensure that guest transactional emails and check-in collateral is up-to-dateQualifications & Requirements· Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures. Basic understanding of revenue management · Comprehension: Fluent in the English language· Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks· Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per Standard of Operating Procedures· Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time and attendance at mandatory meetings. Able to respond quickly and effectively to emails and phone calls· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends· Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations· Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality· Can handle the pressure of a high volume, high-energy venue· Strong communication (both written and oral) and management skills· Guest service-oriented, detail-oriented, and hospitality-minded· Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop
